One of the best ways to explore and enjoy the Dong Van Geopark is by foot. Trek through the mountains, local villages and be surprised by the enthousiastic and welcoming local minority people. Watch out you don’t drink too much Local wine and make sure you make enough pictures to remember this unique experience! You will see the real authentic Vietnam in close detail. Visiting a lot of villages and walking on easy, but beautiful mountain roads makes our trekking perfect for many travellers.
If you aren’t interested in a village tour, please tell us what you prefer and we will arrange a tour which will be perfect for you!
Ha Giang, nestled between the Lo and Mien rivers, is a great destination to start an active adventure in northern Vietnam. The area can be accessed either by car or overnight train and walks can vary from a leisurely half-day tour around the paddy fields to longer treks deeper into the mountains, staying at homestays and visiting local families.
The scenery in the northern Vietnamese highlands is second to none, and Ha Giang and the surrounding villages are home to a fantastic diversity of indigenous cultures, each with its own traditions and local costume. Less developed than its more famous cousin Sapa, the Ha Giang region is a must for anyone keen on trekking with an interest in Vietnam’s minority cultures and glorious natural scenery.
We can arrange treks lasting anywhere from a day to a week – but whichever you choose, you’re sure not to be disappointed by this stunning region.
